Small press journalism -- you know, like, on paper -- is enjoying a bit of a renaissance in the Bay Area as of late. Come hear this star-studded panel discuss the trials and tribulations (and the rewards!) of the small press as old media meets new. Bring your tough questions and notepads. Our all-star panelists include Susie Cagle (journalist, cartoonist, critic about town), Michael Stoll (founder, SF Public Press), Dan Archer (reportage cartoonist and Knight fellow at Stanford), Josh Wilson (proprietor, Independent Arts + Media), Antonio Roman-Alcala (founder, SF Arts + Politics zine), and Mat Honan (Longshot Mag).

The Zines on Toast reading tour is stopping at the SF Zine Fest with a combination reading and panel! Join UK creators Isy Morgenmuffel, Edd Baldry, Steve Larder, Tom Fiction, Natalie Last Hours as they recount tales of the London Zine Symposium, failing to punch Tony Blair, ideas for radical health, creating a UK social centre, bike punks, regional dialects and more, as well as a discussion of UK zine culture in general.
