As you may know, the SF's massive, multi-venue literary festival Lit Quake is going on all this week, with tons of great events for you to check out. But if we were to choose just one event to attend, it would have to be the infamous Lit Crawl, taking place all throughout the Mission this Saturday! This huge event takes place in three phases and in tons of venues. Click on the links for full schedules starting with Phase I (6:00-7:00pm), which includes the ZYZZYVA Lit Quiz (Elixir, 3200 16th St.) and the "Questionable Behavior " reading from the folks at Instant City (Dalva, 3121 16th St.), moving on to Phase II (7:15-8:15pm), including the "Mystery & Mayhem" crime fiction reading at the Mission Police Station (!!!), the "Read on the Brat" punk reading at Amnesia (853 Valencia St.), and Susie Cagle, Jamaica Dyer, & Geoff Vasile reading at Mission Comics (3520 20th St.), and finally Phase III (8:30 - 9:30pm) icluding the Indie Fiction Extravaganza (Casa Bonampak, 1051 Valencia St.).
There's seriously something for everyone, from poetry to erotica, comics to comedians. Plus the whole damn thing is free! Definitely check it out!
